The vineyard is located at 450 m above sea level facing East near the historic village of Lobethal in the famous Adelaide Hills Wine Region of South Australia. The Region is 30 minutes by car East of Adelaide City and has a reputation for producing elegant World Class wines. The cool climate produces high quality Sauvignon Blanc grapes. With careful winemaking these grapes develop distinctive fruit characters in the wine.
The 2010 vintage saw perfect cool and dry autumn days with no rain and cold nights creating the optimal fruit ripening period up to harvest.
Normal white wine vinification occurred in stainless steel fermenters. By maintaining cool temperatures these fermenters provide a slow and gentle ferment promoting great fruit development in the final wine.
The Sauvignon Blanc has intense aromas of fresh passion fruit and melons. The palate begins with the initial burst of the fruit combination and then progresses to a fresh and lengthy acid finish providing a quality mouth fell appeal.
